1. Where is the Ivy School?

The Ivy School is 1 km from the BTS Bangna Station, down the same soi as Manarom Hospital.

2. What is the curriculum at the Ivy School?

The Ivy School follows a British curriculum approved by Pearson Edexcel and certified as a test center (Center Number: 96638) for IGCSE and A-Level examinations. Students can sit the exams at the Ivy School and will be awarded the UK qualifications when they pass the requirements.

The Ivy School graduates can go to university or boarding school in Japan, Singapore, USA, UK, Australia, Taiwan, etc.

3. At what age can students enroll in the Ivy School?

The Ivy School accepts students from 36 months to 18 years old.

4. How much is the tuition fee?

As a special consideration to parents due to the current economic situation in Thailand, the discounted fee for the 2023/2024 academic year is 288,000 baht for students from nursery to G.8 or Y.9 (books and food included) with a onetime payment of 40,000-baht registration fee.

The Ivy School will not refund tuition except under extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of management.

5. How many terms does the Ivy School have per year?

The academic year is divided into three terms.

6. What is the academic year at the Ivy School?

Term 1 begins in September and Term 3 ends in June. There are elective academic and extracurricular programs during July and August.

7. How many students are there in one class?

Class sizes are capped at eight students for early years, ten students for primary schools, twelve students for middle school, and sixteen students for high school.

8. What is a student/teacher ratio?

Currently, the teacher student ratio is 1:4.

9. When was the school founded?

The Ivy School began as Ivy Prep, an after school program that prepared students to study abroad on academic scholarships. Ivy Prep was founded in 2017. The Ivy School was founded in 2021.

10. Are Ivy School teachers’ native English speakers?

The majority of Ivy School teachers are native English speakers from the US and UK.

However, the Ivy School does not consider country of birth to be an accurate or useful indicator of English proficiency, academic ability, or general intelligence.

When hiring teachers, we use proprietary tests for evaluating academic and English proficiency, teaching ability, critical thinking, communication skills, and professionalism.

Our standards for teachers are the most selective in the private education industry.

11. Do you offer a trial class?

We offer a three-day school trial where students can experience life at the Ivy School and teachers can assess the student applicant in a learning environment.

12. How long is the school day?

Classes run from 09:00 to 15:00. Students drop off time starts at 08:00 and pick up time is before 16:30.

13. Is there a college counseling service?

The Ivy School helps students win scholarships to study abroad.

We begin with a holistic review of the student’s classes, test scores, extracurriculars, life ambitions, hobbies and interests.

Based on the student profile, we develop an application strategy to choose a range of schools that match the student’s interests and balance the chances of getting in. This may include schools that offer great financial aid or special programs for the student’s interests.

We also help with teacher recommendations, essays, and admissions interviews.

14. Is there support for students with learning disabilities or special learning conditions?

Yes, the Ivy School offers support for learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and other special needs. We have a Supportive Learning Unit (SLU) dedicated especially for this group of students.

All our teachers and staff are well-trained and have experience teaching children of different conditions including ADHD, autism, speech delay and other conditions. With the ratio of students to teachers as 3 to 1, our unique program offers psychoeducation and psychotherapy for students every week. We also provide an individual counseling session and work closely with Manarom Hospital on the treatment plan for each individual student.

15. Is there a study abroad program?

At the Ivy School, students can choose to finish their last year of high school abroad. In addition to sitting IGCSE/ A Level examinations, a student can choose to finish grade 11 or year 12 at the Ivy School and continue their last year at our partnered high school abroad provided that he or she completes the credits needed at the Ivy School.

16. What subjects do students learn at the Ivy School?

The daily classes are English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Weekly and bi-weekly classes include Thai, Chinese, Personal Finance/Economics, Music, Art, Social Emotional Learning, Project-based Learning, Cooking, Gardening, and Physical Education.

The Ivy School also hosts special events like career day, Christmas party, and Halloween party throughout the academic year.
